Christmas Open Stage Night

Thursday 14th December 2017 at 7.30pm.  Venue opens at 7pm.  Free entry.

CALLING ALL PERFORMERS!

SINGERS, MUSICIANS, MAGICIANS, COMEDIANS, POETS, WHISTLERS, YODELERS AND MORE!  HERE’S OUR PLATFORM FOR ENTERTAINERS OF 13+ TO TAKE TO THE UGT STAGE, WITH GREAT LIGHTING, SOUND & AUDIENCE.

It’s time to head down to the Under Ground Theatre for the Christmas Open Stage Night.

Your planned host for the evening will be the UGT’s very own Chairman and would-be crooner Steve ‘Dean Sinatra’ Rolls-King, who may (or may not) be joined on or offstage by colleagues from the UGT., but certainly by the growing band of performers who love to come and join in on these nights.

Steve will be ensuring that all would-be performers get to take to the stage and always with the emphasis on variety, fun and entertainment.

If you do want to show off your skills onstage, get there as early as possible – and make sure you give the organisers your name to put on the running order board.

The UGT welcomes musicians of any genre – and several who’ve turned up to perform at the previous Open Stage nights have immediately been recruited to sing and play at one of the theatre’s weekly Saturday music mornings.

But equally welcome at Open Stage Nights are impressionists, poets, comedians, magicians, and more.  Anyone, in fact, with a talent to entertain.

The evening will last up to for three hours including a few short intervals and, if past experience is any guide, everyone wanting to take part will have an opportunity to appear on stage with top-class lighting and sound systems and in front of a listening audience that is astoundingly sympathetic.

The cafe-bar will be open through out.  As usual the Theatre will be set out in comfortable club-style, with the much loved circular tables.

Be prepared to be entertained, moved and surprised by the unexpected.

Entrance is free.  Donations always welcome.
