THIS EVENING’S FILM IS : DR TERROR’S HOUSE OF HORRORS (1964 COL 93m PG Cert).
Dr Terror’s House of Horrors is a 1965 British horror film from Amicus Productions, directed by veteran horror director Freddie Francis, written by Milton Subotsky, and starring Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee.
Aboard a British train, mysterious fortune teller Dr. Schreck uses tarot cards to read the futures of five fellow passengers. And what a five passengers they are, for they include Christopher Lee, Roy Castle and ‘fluff’ himself DJ Alan Freeman.
This film is a wonderful indulgence of an anthology horror movie, with a story for everyone – some great, some ludicrous, but thoroughly entertaining for a 1960s audience and still for one in 2017.
Film buff and UGT technician Chris Leach will relish giving you an upbeat overview of the stars and cast so integral in bringing this slice of British horror to the silver screen in a powerpoint presentation prior to your enjoyable 90 minutes.
