The Shambles – Ink and Brush

Teresa was born in Surrey and now lives in the Sussex area. Initially, she trained at Croydon Art College and went on to work as a cartographer and technical illustrator before becoming a freelance artist. Teresa studied Art History and Classical Studies with the Open University and graduated in 2008, with a BA First Class Honours. She then attended Northbrook College where she gained a PGCE in Art & Design.

Moonlight Shadow – acrylic on canvas

Currently working as a professional artist and tutor, she is inspired by her observations of the natural world, random images, dreams, myth and legend, people, landscape, architecture and wildlife.

Over the years, Teresa’s practice as an artist has covered a range of subjects from portraiture, architectural studies, landscape, wildlife and illustration. She works in many diverse mediums; Brusho, watercolour, acrylic, mixed media, photography, printmaking and painting on wood. Her most recent work is a form of sculptural relief painting, combining the elements of sculpture and painting.

As a professional artist she has over thirty years’ experience and has exhibited across London, Surrey and Sussex. Her work has sold both nationally and internationally. At present, she runs and teaches three art groups together with seasonal workshops, and demonstrates to art groups in the Sussex and Surrey area.
