Sunday Film – Around The World In 80 Days

UGT Sunday Films – on the first Sunday of every month.

Sunday 3rd December at 2.30pm. Venue and coffee bar open at 2pm.

A movie and tea and cakes for a fiver!  Buy Tickets

Tickets are just £5 – which includes free tea and cakes!

This landmark lavish spectacle won 67 best picture awards worldwide on its release and it’s evident to see why, as David Niven stars as Phileas Fogg and acrobat Cantinflas stars as his assistant Passpartout in Michael Todd’s truly epic envisioning of Jules Verne’s famous novel.

This is the film that coined the phrase ‘cameo role’ – and there are over 40 stars to look out for in cameo roles in this movie as we travel air, sea and land to adventure around the globe.

As usual, UGT film buff Chris Leach will take pleasure in giving an upbeat powerpoint presentation before the film, enthusing about the movie and what the star actors and crew did in their careers and lives.  He’ll also point out who to look out for.

The film is an epic three hours long, but there is a built in intermission, and we’ll be taking this opportunity to enjoy teak and cakes, included in your admission price of just a fiver.

The cinema is set in traditional and table style, allowing you to take drinks and food in with you to enjoy at leisure throughout the film.

Sunday 3rd December at 2.30pm. Venue and coffee bar open at 2pm.

Tickets: £5 (includes tea/coffee and cakes at half time)
