The Stefania Salvador Jazzical Quartet
Italian singer, pianist, composer, arranger Stefania Salvador, graduated in classical piano at the Conservatory of Music in Italy, now based in London, presents with ‘The Stefania Salvador Quartet’ an international repertoire with a selection of American standards, French chanson, Italian canzone and her originals from classical to jazz towards Latin, blues, funky, swing, ballads etc.
She writes the arrangements of her various musical repertoire in a ‘jazzical’ style and you can listen to it mainly in her new album ROMANCE where she wished to create a bridge between the classical world she came from and the wonderful world of jazz and improvisation.
Stefania on vocal and piano is accompanied by three world class jazz musicians: Jack Honeyborne, on jazz piano, one of the finest accompanists and the musical director for many international stars including Peggy Lee, Eartha Kitt, Sammy Davis Jn., Vera Lynn, Harry Secombe; Enrico Tomasso, on trumpet and flugelhorn, who has played around the world with many major artists and is a three-time British Jazz Award winner.
His major influence was Louis Armstrong, for whom he played at age 7; Pete Morgan on double bass who has played with many top American and English musicians and is known for his characteristic use of the bow.
