Pocketsize, followed by Jayne Ingles

Free gig every Saturday at the UGT highlighting local performers.

Saturday 10th February 2018. 10am – 12 noon. Venue opens at 9.30am.

A musical trio with a wealth of talent is returning to the Eastbourne Under Ground Theatre in the New Year. Just over twelve months since their previous appearance, the coffee-morning entertainment on Saturday 10th February will be provided by Pocketsize. That’s Eastbourne-based Darren Pearson (guitar) and wife Liz (autoharp) with Richard Walder on T-chest bass.

The mixture will be “a little bit country, a little bit rock ’n’ roll” with a generous helping of American folk and spirituals and original compositions. They could possibly be recruiting one or two friends from the local music scene, as they have done in the past, to make the morning even more memorable!

This will be the sixth year in a row that “Pocketsize” have appeared during the first month of the theatre’s January to April season. The Duo once topped the American charts in 1999 with the single “Walking”, taken from their first-ever album.

After a 20 minute break at 10.50am, next on stage will be singer/songwriter Jayne Ingles.

Jayne Ingles

A regular at the UGT, Jayne’s mix of originals and self-penned songs always aim to please.

With regret, the venue is below ground on split levels and has no wheelchair access.

A Hearing loop is available.
