NIGEL TRANGMAR then THE RUDE MECHANICALS.
Saturday 22nd July 2017. 10am to 12 noon. Venue open at 9.30am.
Singer/Guitarist and Pianist Nigel Trangmar has an impeccable local pedigree. He was a founder member of legendary Eastbourne folk band Black Strap Molasses and a one time member of the madcap skiffle combo Skiddle-Am-Bam.
Nigel has been playing guitar since he was 11 and cites Dylan, Donovan, Chris Kristofferson and Harry Chapin as his main influences. Nigel now mostly plays solo in clubs and pubs in the area, He is a consummate performer and his appearance on a Saturday morning is much anticipated.
After the break, THE RUDE MECHANICALS take to the stage.
The Rude Mechanicals are a Sussex-based multi-instrumental trio (occasionally augmented by musical pals to form larger bands) playing a very wide variety of music. Their material is mostly from the English, European and American folk heritage but often spans other musical traditions.
Catchy tunes, stylish playing, great entertainment.
Throughout their performances, Fairtrade coffee and tea and home-made cakes will be on sale in the Under Ground coffee-bar – which will stay open until 4pm for viewing of the latest foyer art exhibition.
Entry is free.
With regret, the venue has no wheelchair access.
A Hearing Loop is available on request.
