Free concerts Every Saturday at the UGT highlighting local performers.

Saturday 2nd June 2018. 10am – 12 noon. Venue opens at 9.30am

Beatlesque originals and classic pop covers from the guitar/vocals duo.

Hiding behind the names of characters from the Peanuts cartoon are guitarists and vocalists Mark and Claire Taylor, described by one reviewer as “honest, heartfelt, humble, homely, humorous – with lovely harmonising”.

Their pop repertoire ranges from “You were always on my mind”, as recorded by dozens of singers including Brenda Lee, Willie Nelson and Elvis Presley, to the Prince song “Purple Rain”.  Other favourites include “All my Loving”, “Knowing Me, Knowing You” and “Bad Moon Rising”.

They will also be playing some of their own compositions – which are strikingly melodic and lyrically quirky.  Typical are “Road Trip” and “The Road to Santiago”, both from their second album, and both dealing with themes of escape, adventure and identity.
