Sunday 19th March 2017 at 2.45pm. Venue opens at 2.15pm.
Duo is a perfect combination of violin (played by Eleanor Percy) and Irina Lyakhovskaya (piano). Their performances and extensive repertoire have been highly acclaimed by other musicians and the national and international press, and they are regular performers at, and supporters of, the Under Ground Theatre and the Eastbourne Arts Centre in general.
The Duo concert on Sunday 19th March 2017 will include:
Brahms: Sonata no.1 in G major Op.78
Schumann: Sonata in A minor Op.105
Gershwin: Three pieces
Eleanor graduated from Trinity College of Music in 2002 and Russian born Irina from the St. Petersburg Conservatoire in 1999. Despite their hectic schedule, DUO has performed in every season of the Under Ground Theatre Eastbourne Chamber Music recitals since their inauguration in 1999 except one.
Individually, Eleanor and Irina are highly successful soloists, who have won many prizes, at national and international level. They describe the Under Ground as one of their favourite venues: they are certainly firm favourites with UGT audiences.
Doors open & wine and coffee-bar from 2.15pm.
