Dave Twang then Andy Drudy

Free concerts Every Saturday at the UGT highlighting local performers.

Saturday 28th April 2018. 10am – 12 noon. Venue opens at 9.30am

Dave Twang

Dave grew up on a steady diet of John Wayne, Dolly Parton, The Lone Ranger and Johnny Cash so it was inevitable that he would slip into Country music at some point. Along the way he’s been in punk bands and country bands, performed with the Welsh National Opera, set himself on fire for fun and profit and failed the audition for a gig at Barry Island Butlins. Primarily a singer, he started playing the banjo in a bit of a cross moment eight years ago and forgot to stop. He’s got rather good at it since. Influences go back to the roots of country – The Carter Family, Jimmie Rodgers, Hank Williams, Townes Van Zandt, Steve Earle and Gillian Welch.

Andy Drudy

After a short twenty-minute break will be local favourite Andy Drudy.  Andy has been the focus of one of this season’s Underground Live sessions and will be enetertaining our audience today with the best of his showcased talent.

With regret, the venue is below ground on split levels and has no wheelchair access.

A Hearing loop is available.
