This exhibition can be seen on Fridays and Saturdays between 10am and 4pm and at Under Ground Theatre events staged during the dates detailed.
This months Art at the Eastbourne Under Ground Theatre brings an exhibition in provocative contrast with that in February. From the bold and dynamic we move to the soft and serene with the gentle watercolours from the brush of Chris Liddiard.
Chris, from Rushlake Green, enjoys views from his studio over the Weald to the Downs above Eastbourne. It is these views with their ever changing colours from green to misty greys and sometimes barely any colour at all that shape his work.
Trained in Southend, at the School of Art and Design, he has shown works in the Royal Watercolour Society, London. In his paintings you are likely to see the influence of many masters of the art. Look for W.M. Turner, Georgio Morandi, E.W. Shepard and Ellsworth Kelly.
Chris enjoys pencil-sketching old and interesting buildings, making collages of “things he finds on his walks” and also has illustrated the children’s book “Rufus and The Rain”.
The exhibition at the Under Ground will last until 3oth March.
Chris Liddiards’s art will be on show and on sale every Friday and Saturday from 10am to 4pm.
It can, of course, also be viewed by the audience at any UGT event.
Many exhibits are for sale.
