Charlie Chaplin’s masterpiece – which he wrote, directed, produced, music scored and stars in – is a political satirical comedy drama and a relevant parody of the very real Adolf Hitler whose power was ever growing at the time.  In retrospect, too, this film is also incredibly prophetic.

As usual, UGT technician Chris Leach – himself the resident film buff – will take pleasure in give a short upbeat powerpoint presentation before this film and enthusing about the movie, and what the actors did in their careers and lives.  So, you can look forward to learning all about Charles Spencer Chaplin tonight – a true British legend.

The cinema is set in traditional and table style, allowing you to take drinks and food in with you to enjoy at leisure throughout the film.

There will be a comfort break interval at around one hour into this two hour film (of about 10 minutes duration)

Tickets: £5 (includes your first drink)
