Mike Hatchard & Heather Stuart Art Exhibition
3rd – 25th February 2017 (Fridays & Saturdays 10am – 4pm)
Though best known as a musician , Mike Hatchard has had many cartoons and illustrations published over the years in such publications as Local Government Chronicle, Homes and Gardens, as well as the Carlton TV show After The News.
He also made a series for CTV called Face The Hanglider (after his Edinburgh Festival alter-ego of Marvin Hanglider) in which he interviewed such high profile guests as Ned Sherrin, Graham Norton, and Jack Higgins whilst drawing them at the same time.
After many years deliberately concentrating on his musical career, he has now allowed himself the indulgence of returning to painting, something he adores.
Also on display will be works by Heather Stuart.
Three times runner up in The Peace Project, Heather‘s artwork has also earned her Aspire Magazine’s Illustrator of the Year award 2014. She has had work published in a variety of children’s books and magazines, including The Radio Times. Heather is best known for her colourful “Eccentric Characters” paintings. She lives and works by the sea, in her home town of Hastings
