ACTING CAN BE MURDER with LINDA REGAN
Saturday 2nd June 2018 at 2pm. Venue and café open from 12.30pm.
A fascinating talk by actress and crime writer Linda Regan. The talk will include a question and answer session and the audience will be able to ask Linda about her life, acting career and writing. Following this will be a book signing session, with the opportunity to buy Linda’s books.
Linda is a successful actress, still best known for her portrayal of April, the sweet Yellow-coat, in the BBC award winning comedy Hi-De-Hi. Other programmes she has appeared in include: The Bafta nominated Channel five series: Harry and Cosh, The Bill, London’s Burning, MInder, Gentle Touch, The Knock, a Lynda La Plante series: Framed, to name but a few. Also many films, a season with the RSC, and many good theatre roles. To date she has appeared in nearly a hundred commercials.
She has been writing all her life: short stories, radio, fact and fiction. Her first crime novel was published in 2006, and her subsequent novels have all received excellent reviews.
Linda is married to the actor Brian Murphy (George from George and Mildred).
Entry Is Free. Donations to the theatre would be appreciated after the event.
As usual, the UGT coffee bar is open throughout the day from 12.30pm to 4pm for Fairtrade refreshments – drinks and cakes – at some of the very best prices in town.
With regret, the venue has no wheelchair access.
